Ready Hands

IMPACT: JLBR Ready Hands provided thousands of hours of service to 40 community partners with various projects in the Baton Rouge area.

The Junior League of Baton Rouge is proud to offer our “Ready Hands” committee to lend a hand to your community event. Ready Hands is a committee formed by the Junior League of Baton Rouge, Inc. that reaches out to our local community by assisting non-profit organizations with their special events. We have trained volunteers ready to support your organization.

JLBR Ready Hands volunteers respond to and reach out to our local community by providing trained volunteers to assist non-profit organizations with their special events. Community is our business – The JLBR has been committed to serving our local community for 90 years and we welcome an opportunity to support your organization.

Need Ready Hands?

To qualify for assistance from Ready Hands, your organization must meet the following criteria:

The event must be applicable to the League’s mission, “The Junior League of Baton Rouge is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.”

JLBR members must not be directly involved in soliciting funds on behalf of your organization; if the event includes fundraising, it will only be considered if either:

  • The JLBR founded the organization; or
  • The organization is a community project partner for the current League year; or
  • The organization received a Community Assistance Fund (CAF) grant within the past 24 months.

Also, the event cannot be held during the week of Hollydays – the second week in October.
